Zhuang Research

The Zhuang lab discovered a novel, periodic submembrane cytoskeleton structure in axons using super-resolution STORM imaging. This submembrane cytoskeleton structure is made of actin, spectrin and associated proteins.

Zhuang Research

The Zhuang lab applies its diverse expertise in chemistry, physics, and biology to develop imaging methods with single-molecule sensitivity, nanometer-scale resolution, and dynamic imaging capability and uses these methods to study biological systems quantitatively.
