Sirinya Matchacheep

Sirinya Matchacheep is the Director of Instructional Laboratory Programs and a Lecturer on Chemistry and Chemical Biology. She received an A.B. from Cornell University, where she double majored in Chemistry and in Biological Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2007 from Harvard University where she worked under the guidance of Professor Stuart Schreiber.

 

Dr. Matchacheep has been involved in teaching and undergraduate advising at Harvard since she started her graduate studies. Upon completion of her doctoral work, she joined CCB as a Preceptor in chemistry.  Then she became an Assistant Director of Premedical and Health Careers Advising at Harvard College for a few years before returning to CCB in her current roles. Dr. Matchacheep oversees all operations within the chemistry teaching lab space in Science Center and works with faculty/preceptors to develop lab curricular for their courses. In addition, she teaches several courses in general chemistry and organic chemistry at both Harvard College and Harvard Extension/Summer School. She has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Teaching multiple times by the Harvard Bok Center for Teaching and Learning. In her spare time, she enjoys playing piano, gardening, and photography.
