CCB Annual Holiday Gift Drive Benefits Heading Home
Haul of local donations to Heading Home.

This year items donated to the annual CCB gift drive went to Heading Home, an organization who has a mission to “end homelessness in Greater Boston by providing a supported pathway to self-sufficiency that begins with a home, together with critical services such as life skills, financial literacy, and job training.” This year’s drive collected a mix of books, gift cards, and bedding items.

Heading Home provides emergency, transitional and permanent housing, and support services, to low-income homeless and formerly homeless families and individuals in the communities of Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Medford, Malden, Everett and Quincy.

CCB's donation included 21 books, 5 bundles of 6-piece sets of towels, 8 bundles of 7-piece bedding sets, and 10 Stop & Shop gift cards. The donated items will be given to 248 families that Heading Homes is collecting donations for this year.

Heading Home was founded in 1974, and ever since it has become one of the area’s go-to solutions providers for homeless individuals. Currently, Heading Home has roughly 50 shelter and supportive housing units in their portfolio with about 900 people residing in these units. Across all programs, Heading Home provides direct services to more than 1,400 Greater Bostonian’s annually.

The CCB team would like to thank everyone who contributed to the donation drive this year. Happy holidays!
