We are excited to announce that Professor Charles M. Lieber, the Mark Hyman Jr. Professor of Chemistry, will serve as the new Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, beginning on July 1, 2015. Professor Lieber joined our Department in 1991. His research has focused broadly on science and technology at the nanoscale, using novel synthesized building blocks to push scientific boundaries in diverse areas from biology/medicine to energy and computing. We look forward to the strong and thoughtful leadership he will provide as Chair!
