CCB participates in the 2022 Bionic 5k

CCB members participated in the 2022 Bionic 5k race on Sunday, April 24. The Bionic 5k celebrates the power of technology to enable ALL people to run together, and was held this year in Harvard Square.  CCB was very happy to cover registration fees for those in our community who were  interested in joining and participating with our very own CCB team.  Funding was provided by the FAS Community Renewal Fund with special thanks to Dean Claudine Gay. CCB Annual Holiday Gift Drive Benefits Heading Home

This year items donated to the annual CCB gift drive went to Heading Home, an organization who has a mission to “end homelessness in Greater Boston by providing a supported pathway to self-sufficiency that begins with a home, together with critical services such as life skills, financial literacy, and job training.” This year’s drive collected a mix of books, gift cards, and bedding items.

John Ovian awarded EJ Corey Bristol-Myers Squibb Fellowship

John Ovian, a graduate student in the Jacobsen Lab, has been chosen as a recipient of the EJ Corey Bristol-Myers Squibb Fellowship for 2021-22. John’s doctoral research focuses on developing catalytic enantioselective methods for the synthesis of chromanes and fluorinated building blocks. He also works to elucidate the catalyst features responsible for achieving high selectivity. Congratulations, John!
